It is the season for award shows honoring last year’s work and performances, and red carpets are rolling out everywhere. As stars arrive to hear the results and receive their accolades, they hit us with some dazzling ensembles– both on stage and off. Just as they shine and glitter in the spotlight, so does much of their chosen eveningwear for the events.
Fashion house Dolce & Gabbana clothed some of the more sparkly appearances of both men and women for these star-studded occasions. Here are some favorites that shone as bright as the individuals wearing them.
Batiste and DJ D-Nice at the Grammys
Arriving on the scene, having already won four of his 11 award nominations for the night, singer, songwriter, and musician Jon Batiste made sure to catch the eye of everyone around. Celebrating his New Orleans roots, Jon was clothed in a bespoke D&G suit in a sequined, harlequin pattern. Choosing the color scheme of black and gold to call back to the New Orleans Saints football team was an important feature of the outfit for him.
The sparkle didn’t stop there as the already shining star took to the stage in another D&G suit, this time in a sleek metallic look, to perform his Grammy-winning song “Freedom”. His backup dancers were also wearing fun, brightly colored, and often shimmery, costumes designed by the fashion house as well. Batiste walked away as the big winner of the night with the coveted Album of the Year award in hand.
DJ D-Nice also appeared in a reflective Dolce & Gabbana suit of his own. The suit boasted blue tones over a silver backdrop topped off with his iconic felt, wide-brimmed fedora from Worth & Worth.
Ballerini and Underwood at the CMT Awards
An unfortunate positive COVID test prevented Kelsea Ballerini from fulfilling her hosting duties for the CMT Awards on-site, but she didn’t let that stop her. The pop-country singer-songwriter hosted from her home and had multiple costume changes. As she performed her song “Heartfirst” from her living room, she wore a custom Dolce & Gabbana mini dress in a sparkly seafoam green color with cutouts in all the right places. Even from home, you could see this star shine.
Following up on her billowing, golden look, also a D&G design, from the Grammys, Carrie Underwood walked the red carpet this time in a crystallized, purple leopard print mini dress from the fashion house– showing off her gorgeous physique. She won the top award for the night, Video of the Year, with her collaborator, Jason Aldean, for their song “If I Didn’t Love You”.
Haddish and Jones at the Oscars
While not receiving any nominations for the evening, comedian Tiffany Haddish did not fail to impress in a gorgeous emerald green Dolce & Gabbana floor-length gown designed to hug her curves. The dress sparkled under the lights of the stage as she present the award for Best International Feature alongside Simu Liu, star of the film Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings. She was arguably one of the best dressed and classiest looking stars of the evening. Here you can find out the best amy earnhardt picuki that provide you to get more rank on Instagram.
Actress Emilia Jones attended the event in support of the film CODA in which she starred and this starlet sparkled alongside her movie which one the award for best picture. She wore a lovely form-fitting, gold ombre dress embellished with Swavorski crystals from D&G. The asymmetrical, midsection cut out gave a little sexy edge to an otherwise elegant piece.
Stewart at the Critics’ Choice Awards
In a stunning deviation from her usual Chanel attire for the red carpet circuit, actress Kristen Stewart donned a beautiful, champagne-pink dress adorned with shimmering silver sequins by D&G. The understated look gave off subtle old Hollywood vibes but, paired with a smokey cat-eye, still had the classic edge we are used to from the actress. She was nominated for her role as Princess Diana in the film Spencer.
Staying true to their brand, Dolce & Gabbana’s pieces that have graced the red carpet so far this season have been worn by powerhouse celebrities looking for stunning garments to captivate their peers and the press alike. These seven superstars looked phenomenal in their lustrous or glittering, awards-night tunai4d.
